Verbal communication, especially speaking, is essential for the exchange of ideas, thoughts and cultures as well. A part of verbal communication that is quite important yet not wellacknowledged is correct pronunciation of words. Imagine conversing with a native English speaker and telling him that you have seen a huge 'beach' instead of 'peach', or that you used to 'sink' in the bathtub instead of 'think'. He will certainly get a totally different meaning from the one you originally intended. Correct pronunciation means better exchange of ideas, which means better communication. But again, speaking is not all about pronunciation. Another important side of speaking is the manner in which words are spoken and thoughts are conveyed. Where a person stops in a sentence and which words he stresses can provide different meanings for the same sentence. The way a person speaks and how he expresses different feelings in his words can also cause sentences to have different connotations.
