The first volume of this study of Slavic verbal forms presents an analysis of previous attempts to accommodate morphology in the framework of generative linguistics, and then proceeds to provide a coherent description of the structure and system of the constituents of Old Slavic verbal system (excluding only the periphrastic passive forms). The second volume contains a detailed analysis of the paradigms and attested forms of approximately one-third verb types of Old Slavic, Leskien's class I and some class III verbs. Important features include lists of rare and unattested forms, exhaustive analyses of morphological and phonetic and graphic variation in stems and desinences (including erroneous spellings), and full discussion of specific problems related to forms of any given verb.
