This practice covers guidelines for using accelerometers in test vehicles to evaluate dynamic accelerations resulting from various maneuvers such as braking, accelerating, or cornering.
This practice is applicable to accelerometers that are rigidly attached to the body of the test vehicle or stabilized to the earth-fixed axis system by means of a gyroscope.
