Join In is a three-level speaking and listening series that teaches an important aspect of English: developing conversation strategies for what to say and also how to say it. This will help you improve your English. There are two lessons in each of the 12 units in the Student Book. Each lesson focuses on a different aspect of the unit topic. The lessons are organized into five sections, each one with carefully graded activities that provide opportunities to speak and listen. Lesson 1 begins with a conversation. It presents language and grammar that will be practiced throughout the lesson in context Language Focus presents and provides practice with a grammar point. The Listen and Understand activities provide practice with a variety of listening skills. These activities will help you improve your overall listening comprehension skills.
Lesson 2 introduces more vocabulary related to the unit topic. Conversation Strategy focuses on a feature of spoken English and provides examples of how to say what you want to say. Using these strategies will help you speak English in a more natural way. The Listen and Understand activities provide practice with a variety of listening skills. These activities will help you improve your overall listening comprehension skills.
