Springer Science+Business Media, 2016. — 412 p. — (Advances in Mathematical Fluid Mechanics) — ISBN 9783034809382.
This volume collects research papers and survey articles of participants in the “International Conference on Mathematical Fluid Dynamics on the Occasion of Yoshihiro Shibata’s 60th Birthday”, which was held from March 5 to 9, 2013, in Nara, the former capital of Japan. We thank all the participants, in particular the invited speakers, who contributed to this volume. Our thanks also go to the referees for their efficient work, and to the secretaries, the staff, and the students who helped us during the meeting. The conference was supported, in part, by the Grant in Aid for Scientific Researchof the Japan Society forthe Promotionof Science (No. 24224003, 24224004, 24340025) and by the JSPS-DFG Japanese-German Graduate Externship.
