Christakos G. Modern Spatiotemporal Geostatistics
Oxford University Press, 2000. — 307 p. — (International Association for Mathematical Geology studies in mathematical geology; 6). — ISBN 0-19-513895-3
This book is an introduction to the fundamentals of modern spatiotemporal geostatistics. Modern geostatistics is viewed in the book as a group of spatiotemporal concepts and methods which are the products of the advancement of the epistemic status of stochastic data analysis. The latter is considered from a novel perspective promoting the view that a deeper understanding of a theory of knowledge is an important prerequisite for the development of improved mathematical models of scientific mapping.
